The Batesville Living Memorial® tree planting program was established in 1976 to reforest woodlands damaged by forest fires and other natural disasters. This program is the world’s largest private memorial reforestation effort.
In Canada, the Living Memorial program is organized and managed by the Canadian Forestry Association. This year, with help from the Canadian Institute of Forestry and our provincial tree planting partners, more than 10,000 tree seedlings will be planted across Canada. More information about this program will soon be available.
